A Welcome Back Message from the Wheeler Family Association Co-Presidents
Dear Wheeler Families,
We are pleased to introduce ourselves as Mariama Jallow and Stacy Hurley, the co-presidents of the Wheeler Family Association. As we embark on the 2024/25 school year, we extend a warm welcome to all of you.
It is important to emphasize that every family in the Wheeler community is an integral part of the Wheeler Family Association, and we are eager to collaborate with you throughout the year. Our aim is to engage all families in a manner that is accessible, inclusive, meaningful, and enjoyable. We are excited to provide volunteer opportunities that align with these objectives, and we deeply appreciate any time you are able to contribute.
To facilitate communication and collaboration, we have planned two all-school meetings, one in the fall and one in the spring. Additionally, each division (Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School) will have two planning meetings in a workshop format, as well as two meetings with division heads. Prior to each of these meetings, you will receive communications from the division co-chairs. We encourage you to attend as many of these meetings as your schedule permits.
The Family Association also organizes numerous events that support our families, students, faculty, staff, and the wider community. You can find all the dates and details for the entire year on the Wheeler calendar, which is accessible through the Parent and Guardian Portal. Additionally, a monthly newsletter will be sent via email on the first Monday of each month, providing information on upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
We sincerely appreciate your efforts in enhancing and supporting the Wheeler community experience. We look forward to seeing you all at our first All-Division meeting on Sept. 18!
