Capital and Endowed Gifts

The Wheeler Fund provides the base of support for enriched academic, art, and athletic programs, enhanced facilities, a dynamic faculty, and many more opportunities that make up the Wheeler experience. We are fortunate that most Wheeler donors include support of the Wheeler Fund in their philanthropy each year.

If you are considering additional gifts designed to establish a lasting impact, we invite you to speak with a member of the Advancement Team regarding exciting opportunities for capital projects, named endowments, planned gifts, or other special initiatives.

However you choose to support Wheeler, we look forward to partnering with you and are grateful for your generosity.

Capital Giving

From the bustling of our East Side city block to the bucolic expanses of the Farm, Wheeler’s two campuses promote curiosity, engagement, and connection across multiple modes of learning. Through its long-term master plan, Wheeler is reimagining its physical spaces for the future in ways that match the innovation of our curriculum. There are exciting opportunities for supporters to contribute to capital projects and make the extraordinary happen across our two campuses.

Endowment Giving

Establishing a named endowment is a meaningful way to honor your family’s enduring commitment to Wheeler while creating a lasting impact for generations of students. Each year, the role of Wheeler’s endowment becomes increasingly important to its long-term strength: With a strong endowment, Wheeler can reduce its reliance on tuition and confidently pursue the brightest students, committed teachers, and innovative programs.

Your endowment gift can be dedicated to a specific priority, such as through a named scholarship or a faculty excellence fund, or it may be unrestricted to support the greatest needs of the school. It may be named in honor of the donor or another individual.

Gifts to establish endowed funds begin at $50,000 and may subsequently be supported with additional gifts of any size. Your gift will be invested in Wheeler’s endowment, adding to its principal, and the income generated will be directed toward the fund’s designated purpose.

Planned Giving

The Wheeler School welcomes the opportunity to work with donors to achieve their philanthropic goals through a range of gift planning vehicles, including trusts, annuities, estate gifts, and gifts of real property.

Donors who have remembered the School when making their testamentary arrangements are recognized as members of the Mary C. Wheeler Society in recognition of their commitment to sustaining the vision of our school’s founder. Including Wheeler in your estate planning helps to make the School’s future and the perpetuation of Miss Wheeler’s ideals more certain.
